Am I a Bible scholar? Nope. Do I have any "formal" Bible training? Nope. So why would you want to do a Bible Study with me? I have been drawn to the study of the Word by the Holy Spirit. I am indwelled by the Spirit and He is my teacher. My mind and heart have been bathed in the Word for many of my 41 years. Why am I doing this? My only desire is to bring glory to God. (I do want you to know that I am a fellowshipping member of my local church and that the lessons that I do are looked over by my husband, my pastor and several other believers that I trust. I'm thankful to have oversight and clarifying help from others who have doctrinal and theological beliefs that are "deeply rooted" in scripture. I am encouraged by the verse in Proverbs 27 that tells that "as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.")
I believe that through the study of God's revealed Word to us, our lives are transformed as we grow strong in our relationship with Him and in our knowledge of Him. Like a tree planted by streams of water, our roots grow down deep in Him as we abide in Him. By drinking deep of this living water, we grow up strong and firmly planted in His truth.
